Simon Rowland, CEO of primary sponsor CRT is proud to have presented the Overall Winner award to the Prince Charles Hospital for its entry ‘A Patient Information DVD for Colorectal Cancer’.
Following his closing speech to the delegates, Simon said; “The whole day has shown just how innovative and forward thinking the people that work for our NHS can be. It was great to see numerous examples of how ‘Nothing about me, without me’ is becoming the focal point for improving patient experience. In addition we saw how the effective use of feedback technology can really drive positive change within the NHS to improve patient satisfaction.”
The vision of the PEN National Awards is to be the leadingspaceawards body dedicated to improving patient experience within all organisations involved in care in the UK. It is a national awards programme with the aim of recognising, celebrating and sharing examples of great initiatives in patient experience.
As well as announcing the individual category winners, delegates were given the chance to vote for their overall winner and witness first hand how easy it can be to utilise CRT’s real-time feedback solutions to gather data and utilise it effectively.
Comments Simon; “The real winners must be the patients, as more and more providers focus on outcomes. We've moved on from 'data collection and pretty reports' to integrated experience tracking, analysis and action to improve service. I applaud the work of the Patient Experience Network in their encouragement and recognition of excellence within our NHS."
