CRT is delighted to announce that they will be the Flagship Sponsor for the inaugural and only dedicated national awards for healthcare organisations working to improve patient experience.
“We are delighted that CRT Ltd are demonstrating their commitment to patient experience by endorsing these exciting new awards which will give recognition to the often unsung heroes delivering great patient experiences” Ruth Evans, Director of the Patient Experience Network.
Why are the PEN National Awards important?
Healthcare is facing huge change. Never before has the focus of healthcare been so clearly centred on the patient. The challenge laid down is to deliver superior patient experience in an uncertain environment of efficiencies and cuts.
The PEN National Awards are a great way to be recognised for delivering improved patient experience but more than that, it provides a way to share examples of best practice. “Now is a great time to get involved in the PEN National Awards – after all, it is in times like these that superior service can make the most difference!” Simon Rowland, Chief Executive of CRT Ltd.
Unique
The main event is a 'best practice - re thinking the experience' day on January 19th 2011 held at the prestigious 20 Cavendish Square venue. PEN has submitted an application for RCN accreditation for this event. All finalists will be invited to share their entries in break out rooms and the winners will have the opportunity to present on stage. All delegates will be asked to vote for their choice of 'PEN National Awards 2010 Overall Winner' and CRT Ltd. will help to facilitate this during the day.
The finalists will be announced on October 29th 2010.
Patient Centred
Winners will be chosen from all healthcare settings according to categories based on key domains of patient centred care* and successful programmes will be published on PEN as case studies for other organisations to share and learn from. Service Users will be included in the judging process.
Rigorous and meaningful
To judge such a range of quality entries we have selected and invited experts and specialists in patient and customer experience - including people with experience from outside healthcare. But these judges are not 'ivory tower' experts and we include frontline people with the aim of keeping the service user at the heart of the evaluations. Our judges will be looking for innovation and leadership in patient experience and will be recognising and rewarding exemplary contributions that help to drive improvements in patient experience. Moreover, the award for 'PEN National Awards 2010 Overall Winner' will be judged by the delegates attending the best practice event on January 19th
