CRT® – Furthering our Work in Mental Health
"CRT has allowed us the facility to collate data on patient experience in a much more dynamic way. The website is easy and simple to use and most importantly our Trust is able to retrieve valuable data in real time. Colleagues at CRT are both helpful and professional and are more than willing to help with any queries we’ve had in the past. We are so pleased with the number of responses we have been able to receive through using these portable devices. No longer are we reliant on annual surveys." CAMDEN & ISLINGTON MENTAL HEALTH TRUST
At a time of considerable reform within the NHS, the significance of the nation’s mental health has not been overlooked with the issue of The Department of Health’s White Paper, Healthy Lives, Healthy People. It is the first public health strategy to give equal weight to both mental and physical health. The strategy - No health without mental health – focuses on improving patient outcomes.
Policy around mental health and creating a patient-led NHS continues to develop, in line with the Coalition Government’s emphasis on identifying what actually happens to the health of the patient - the outcome - as a result of the treatment and care they receive, as well as giving major importance to the voice of patients and service users.
In order to inform improvements and monitor progress in this vital area, it’s clear that patient opinions and outcomes must be effectively measured in the first instance. It’s also important that the views of front-line staff aren’t forgotten on the journey.
CRT’s ViewPoint Touchscreen, Tablet, Slate and Online technology has been adopted by a number of Mental Health Trusts to capture patient feedback. The system is both easy to use and implement. Recent system developments have included new and unique interactive elements utilising ‘easy read’ and high graphical content. Video and audio embedded within surveys can aid accessibility and therefore interactivity with certain groups; CRT can advise on such specialist areas.
Within a very short space of time, ViewPoint facilitates meaningful and often revealing patient insight. It’s also an excellent tool for staff surveys and clinical audits. This allows Trusts to quickly identify areas of greatest need and focus their resources accordingly. To join our growing number of satisfied Mental Health Trusts, contact us on the number below.
